As of the end of 2016, all compatible boxes have the new Sling TV interface (called version 2). That means that no matter if you use an Apple TV, Roku, or Android, the Sling TV home screen should look very similar, like the screenshot below:
Sling TV – My TV
The My TV section of your Sling TV interface has three main areas:
- My Channels – A selection of your favourite live channels.
- Continue Watching – A listing of TV shows and movies that you started watching but haven’t completed.
- Favourites – A list of shows and movies you have added to your personal favourites list.
Sling TV – On Now
The On Now section in Sling TV shows what is currently playing on live TV, sorted by categories. This means that if you are looking for sports, reality TV, or action shows, you can quickly view what is on.
Sling TV – Guide
The guide section of the Sling TV interface is a modern version of what your cable providers used to offer. A top row shows all current channels you are subscribed to. When you pick a channel, the second row shows what is currently on-air and what is coming up. Underneath that, an “Available Now” section shows TV shows offered by that station which you can stream on-demand in Sling TV.
Sling TV – Search
Know exactly what you want? Use the Sling TV Search section to find what you want and begin streaming quickly.
Sling TV – Settings
Configure your Sling TV interface, video and audio settings, and other parts of your service here.
